ORIENTAL RUG CLEANING PROCEDURES

Dry Vacuuming & Dusting: First, we use a special air wand to blow dust particulates out of  your fine delicate rugs then they are thoroughly vacuumed back and front to remove any dry loose soils. 

Precondition: Next, we precondition your rug with two types of emulsifiers to loosen dirt and oils.

Clean & Rinse: Next, we gently and thoroughly wash and rinse your delicate rug with a pH-balanced cleaning solution to remove the dirt and oils from the fibers.

Spot Removal: Any spots on your rug are carefully removed or lightened with over 15 different spot removers. The rug is then rinsed again to remove any spotting residues.

Fringes: A special fringe cleaning solution is used to clean the fringes. They are always hand washed to assure through cleaning.

Grooming: The rug is brushed to give an even appearance to the pile and soft hand fell to the rug before and after drying process.

Quick Dry: Immediately we hang dry your rug with special dryers in our heated drying room.

Packaged: Finally, we roll up your rug and bind it for delivery to your home. Upon request we can wrap your rug for storage or shipping for an additional charge.

Question: When you cleaned our two oriental rugs, they turned out beautiful. I know there was a lot of work involved and that's why it cost more then cleaning a regular in home carpet, could you explain why?

Answer: Thank you for asking. Oriental rugs are generally made of natural fibers and natural dyes. These give them their rich luster and warm feel. Most rugs are hand made. Hand made rugs are always imperfect. Their imperfections are part of their charm. Oriental and persian area rugs can easily cost more than a whole house full of wall-to-wall carpet. The natural fibers and dyes along with their intrinsic value mean "orientals" need special care.

Question: I have wrinkles in my very expensive flat weave area rug and it doesn't lay flat on the edges and corners anymore, I think that the rug cleaning company I used didn't clean it properly. What can you do to get my rug to lay flat again?

Answer: Unfortunately, there are rug cleaners out there that don't understand the nature of some types of rug weaves. Proper cleaning techniques need to be used to ensure the rug doesn't shrink or curl.
